A VERY NON INTRUSIVE MOD:

the whole mod is just an extra folder in your "game" folder and it does not

touch any original game files. so your game will not break at all.

You want to revert changes it's easy, check uninstallation.

The game will be 100% untouched except the character being replaced.

Install Use vortex! (you should use vortex for install and uninstall because it is a lot of files to manually uninstall)

Or manually install by extracting the 7zip file to your base state of decay folder.

To Uninstall Use vortex again!

Or manually uninstall by simply deleting the characters folder under game in your base state of decay folder.

The mod adds a new folder to your game folder called characters, it was not there before. so you can safely delete it unless

you have other character mods you don't want to lose, in that case just go to the bottom of this page to check manual uninstallation instructions.

It makes Marcus Campbell, Jacob Ritter or Kilohana Young be "Old Beardy Guy".

Or you can substitute any other character.

You can make anyone use this skin, just read the text that comes with the mod when you download it.

By the default this text appears in your base state of decay folder when you install this mod with vortex.

Kilohana Young is a guy in lifeline that appears right at the beginning of the game, you will need yose version of the game

or the dlc Lifeline to use this version of this mod.

Old beardy guy, Maybe he is someone's father or grandfather i don't know, you make up a backstory :P

You may also substitute any other hero preferably male character(because of the  voice) in the story mode most are playable in breakdown as well,

I added a txt to the download where you can read about how to do that, it is easy modifying if you want to do it.

It will includes males and females for all characters including for the dlc Lifeline.

So you can really go wild with replacing anyone you like best.

You can change his hair colour if you want, just read the text that comes with the mod, by default it goes in to your base state of decay folder if you installed the mod with vortex, it should say "how to change hair", you must change all the instances of hair in this guy for full change in hair colour.

You may now add glasses to any male character! with some work and effort.

The mod is compatible with any version of state of decay. including yose.

All this mod does is substitute

this characters clothing by utilising a text file to point the game to different resources and add some textures and mtl files, all files are isolated from the rest of the game. The game will be 100% untouched except the character being replaced.

Manually uninstall:  just look for game/characters/male/human/story_characters and delete

the marcus_campbell  or the jacob_ritter.cdf file(Depending on which one you installed) If it is kilohana than it's game/characters/dlc_02/male/human/story_characters and delete the kilohana_young.cdf file. than navigate to game/characters/male/human/body/wifebeater_jeans and delete the folder "specialdecal" , go to game/characters/male/human/heads/head05 and delete the head055.mtl file and it is uninstalled.
