DC-17 to DC-15A

This mod was created by editing gameplay files for the weapons, but do not change the weapon's statistics. In the past, mods that made changes to gameplay files such as this one could get picked up by Fairfight, although it hasn't happened in a while. The bans were initially caused by game patches changing weapon stats, and the old weapon swap mods overriding with the files containing old stats. Now with no more patches, the idea is that these types of weapon swaps may be safe. Nonetheless: use these mods online at your own risk!

Neither the weapon swap or text edit affects the ARC Trooper's Dual DC-17 pistols. A version of this mod for the ARC Trooper is currently in the works, but no ETA right now. Both the Officer and Jet Trooper share the same DC-17 files, so that's why they're grouped together. The game treats the ARC Trooper's dual DC-17 pistols as an entirely different weapon, so that's why it's not included in this first version.

ALTERNATE VERSION NOW AVAILABLE:

- Alternate version replaces the Clone Officer & Jet Trooper's DC-17 with a DC-15A using sound and mesh importing. No weapon gamplay files have been touched in this version. Because of this, they are only able to hold the weapon like a pistol, and not like a rifle like the Assault Troopers hold their weapons.

- Additionally, the ARC Trooper still uses Dual DC-17 pistols, however because textures are shared with the Officer/Jet Trooper's DC-17 pistol, the ARC Trooper's Dual DC-17 pistols use DC-15A textures and it looks a little weird. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how the ARC Trooper's dual weapons system works, so I haven't replaced their pistol models yet. If I did it the same way as any other weapon in the game, then they would be holding a DC-15A in one hand and have an empty left hand where blaster bolts magically appear from when shooting.
