StarRupture Build Hotkeys

StarRupture Build Hotkeys adds configurable construction hotkeys for the building favorites bar.

- Select building favorite slots 1 through 10 with one hotkey combo.

- Works with top-row number keys and numpad number keys.

- Automatically equips the building tool and starts placement for the selected favorite.

- Includes an in-game ModLoader panel with a real Set Key button.

- The current activation key is shown as read-only text, so there is no duplicate editable config field.

- Default activation key is Backslash, chosen to avoid StarRupture's default dash/sprint/crouch bindings.

Requirements

- StarRupture

- StarRupture ModLoader client release

- Plugin interface v25

- Tested with StarRupture ModLoader v1. 9. 0 and StarRupture build 119405

This download does not include the ModLoader.

Installation

1. Install the StarRupture ModLoader client release.

2. Download this mod.

3. Extract the ZIP into: StarRupture\StarRupture\Binaries\Win64\

4. After extraction, this file should exist: StarRupture\StarRupture\Binaries\Win64\Plugins\BuildHotkeysPlugin.dll

5. Start the game.

- Default: Backslash + 1 through Backslash + 0.

- Slots 1 through 10 map to your existing in-game building favorites.

- Numpad numbers work too.

To change the activation key:

1. Open the ModLoader UI in-game. (F2)

2. Go to Plugin Tools.

3. Open Build Hotkeys.

4. Click Set Key.

5. Press the key you want to use.

6. Press Escape while capturing to cancel.

The selected key is stored in: StarRupture\StarRupture\Binaries\Win64\Plugins\BuildHotkeysPlugin.activation

Multiplayer

This is a client-side convenience mod. For multiplayer, every player who wants the hotkeys should install the client plugin.

Known notes

- Original game files are not modified.

- The game may briefly show the vanilla hotbar weapon when using number keys; the mod then switches to the building tool and applies the selected blueprint.
