WaveOptimiser — Heat Wave Performance Fix for StarRupture

Reduces the large freezes that can occur when heat waves begin on large save files by spreading the workload over multiple frames.

Works on both client and server

What It Does

During heat waves, StarRupture can process tens of thousands of entities in a single frame, causing severe stuttering or multi-second freezes on larger worlds.

WaveOptimiser distributes this work across multiple game ticks, significantly reducing the impact on gameplay while preserving normal heat wave behaviour.

This is especially beneficial for large factories and long-running save files.

Installation

• []Download the correct file from the Files tab.

[]Open the ZIP file.

[]Copy the contents of the included Plugins folder into:

"StarRupture\Binaries\Win64\ModLoader\Plugins"

[]Launch the game or server once to generate the config file.

[]Ensure the plugin is enabled in:

"Plugins\config\WaveOptimiser.ini"[/]

Configuration

Config file:

"Plugins\config\WaveOptimiser.ini"

The configuration file is generated automatically on first launch.

Troubleshooting
