📋 About This Mod
This mod adds a couple engines, the White Dwarf 3025 and 3035 experimental engines (180 speed).
This mod adds mesh variants for the SA-4110, SA-4220, SA-4330, SAE-5110, SAE-5220, SAE-5330, SAE-5440, SAE-5550, and SAE-5660 engines. All nine engines now have seven mesh variants as shown below.
This mod rebalances engines' power usage making all engines use 2 power while retaining their vanilla engine and maneuvering thrusts, with the exceptions of the White Dwarf 1000, White Dwarf 1010, and White Dwarf 1020 engines which have 1 power use each.
I made this tweak for two reasons.
The first so that players can use 6 engines on any ship without a cheat. Some of these high cargo builds that my friends have made make me sad when I see their alarmingly low mobility. This will help with that, at the cost of more credits.
The second reason is give a boost to NPC ships by making the power they have devoted to engines more efficient and making them faster, and freeing up more of their energy output for shields and weapons making them more resilient and dangerous.
I also rebalanced the costs of all the engines, which are now priced at an amount of credits equal to their engine and maneuvering thrusts stats added together. I did this because while looking at all the records, the vanilla prices seemed quite arbitrary and often not indicative of performance. So now the prices are directly related to performance.

As all .esm plugins made with xEdit, this mod requires Plugins.txt Enabler.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community traction with 198 endorsements and over 5,000 downloads.
- Simplifies power management by making all engines use 2 power, which can free up reactor points for other systems.
- Keeps vanilla thrust values, so ship performance isn't nerfed—just more consistent.
⚠️ Cons
- Only adds a couple of engines, so don't expect a massive expansion of options.
- Rebalancing all engines to 2 power might make some high-tier engines feel less distinct, reducing build variety.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter engine stats or add new engines—check load order.
For Starfield ship builders who want more engine variety without messing with power allocation. If you're tired of juggling power costs and want a simpler, more uniform system, this is for you. Skip if you prefer the vanilla power trade-offs or want a comprehensive engine overhaul.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod changes engine power usage, test your ship builds in the ship builder to ensure your reactor can handle the new power draw.
- If you use other ship mods, place this one lower in your load order to avoid conflicts.
- Check the mod's page for any compatibility patches if you use popular ship mods like Ship Builder Tweaks.
