Sam The Cowboy - A Visual Replacer

Description

Sam Coe is already a character with a very clear identity. He is a cowboy, and he should stay a cowboy. Because of that, this replacer does not try to push him in a completely different direction — the goal is simply to strengthen what is already there.

This version is built around the idea that Sam should feel more like a real man from Akila: more mature, more weathered, and more believable as someone shaped by frontier life. In the original game, he is handsome, but sometimes still gives off a slight “guy dressed like a cowboy” feeling. Come on, man, you are already a divorced father. You should look more like one.

The changes here are subtle. His facial structure and core features are left intact, because Sam already has a strong and attractive base appearance. Instead, this replacer focuses on refinement: stronger skin texture, more visible imperfections, slightly deeper wrinkles, and a small scar near the brow. The idea is to make him look like someone who has actually lived on Akila — under harsh suns, blowing dust, and a harder life — while still keeping him recognizable as Sam Coe.

The result is a version of Sam that feels a little older, a little rougher, and a little more grounded, without losing the charm that makes him Sam in the first place.

Installation

MO2 is recommended.

BA2 version
