📋 About This Mod
Description:
Neon, as it should have always been: A lonely, highly-exposed, and dangerous cyberpunk town, constantly blasted by violent oceanic weather systems. This is exactly what this mods provides.
Volii Alpha is an ocean world with no landmasses, no continental shelves, and no terrain to disrupt its atmosphere. In reality, a planet like this would be among the most meteorologically violent environments imaginable.
Without land to absorb heat, dissipate moisture, or break up storm systems, Volii Alpha's warm ocean surface drives relentless evaporation. The resulting atmosphere is permanently saturated, sustaining multiple concurrent Category 5 hurricane systems at any given time. These systems don't make landfall and weaken. Instead, they simply grow, merge, and regenerate indefinitely across the planetary ocean.
Main Features:
The Weather
-
[]Cat. 5 Hurricane (Chance 25%)
Over a dozen fully-developed planetary hurricanes encircle Volii Alpha, and these eye-walls are violent weather components making direct and repeated passages over Neon. Howling 157mph surface winds, near-horizontal rain, and low visibility.[/
][]Dense Rainband (Chance 30%)
The outer spiral rainbands of the hurricane systems, cycling through periodically as the storms rotate, merge, and evolve. Heavy sustained rainfall, distant lightning, heated thermal rain and corrosive saltwater spray. Less violent than the eyewall, but like a deluge.[/]
[]Oceanic Drizzle (Chance 25%)
The edge of a rainband. Persistent low-intensity precipitation, light wind, moderate visibility. [/]
[]Marine Layer (Chance 20%) A dense, low-altitude fog bank forming in the atmospheric lull between major storm components. The fog ceiling sits at rooftop level, partially engulfing Neon's tower tops at times. Near calm winds, zero precipitation, eerie stillness. Salt air corrosion warning active.[/]
[]Interband Region (Chance 8%)
The brief, unsettling calm between rainbands. Stars visible overhead, horizon clear, and bright blue skies during the day.[/]
[]Neon's Conduction Grid: The planet is characterized by constant, frequent, and severe electrical storms. Using a Conduction Grid to catch this energy is a logical, high-tech adaptation for a power-hungry city built on a hostile world, effectively acting as an advanced, city-scale lightning harvesting system.[/]
[*]Industrial Emissions + Ocean Salt Aerosols: The industrial emissions from Neon would introduce sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides into the air. These interact with the sea spray aerosol (chlorides) and high humidity to form sulfuric/nitric acids, concentrated around Neon. This mixtu
Real Volii Atmosphere overhauls Neon's weather on Volii Alpha, replacing the static rain with five scientifically-grounded oceanic conditions, including Category 5 Hurricanes and Dense Rainbands. A focused environmental mod for Starfield players seeking more dynamic and immersive storm systems.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Adds real variety to Neon's weather, so you're not stuck in the same loop forever

⚠️ Cons
- Only touches Neon's weather—if you want changes elsewhere on Volii Alpha, this won't cover it
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter Neon's weather or environment
- Small mod with a niche focus—might not be worth it if you rarely visit Neon
For Starfield explorers who love atmospheric immersion and want Neon to feel like a real oceanic planet. If you're a screenshot junkie or roleplayer who spends time in Neon, this is a must-have. Skip if you rarely visit Neon or prefer gameplay over environment tweaks.
