Industrial Engineering

In the resource-scarce frontier, knowing how to fabricate and refine industrial components separates the self-sufficient from the stranded.

In vanilla, Rare, Exotic, and Unique Manufactured items are unlocked with Special Projects, a Master skill. Meanwhile Weapon Engineering and Spacesuit Design are Advanced level skills and Outpost Engineering is an Expert skill. Higher quality items that unlock from these skills require High Tier Manufactured items from Special Projects, creating a softlock.

This mod helps with that. Now you can access better quality Industrial components at the same time as Outpost Engineering.

New Expert Skill - Industrial Engineering

Rank 1: Outpost extractors are 5% more efficient.

Rank 2: You can craft rare manufactured components at an Industrial Workbench.

Rank 3: You can craft exotic manufactured components at an Industrial Workbench.

Rank 4: You can craft unique manufactured components at an Industrial Workbench.

Special Projects

Rank 1: You can research experimental projects at a Research Lab. (Unchanged)

Rank 2: Outpost modules cost 10% less to repair.

Rank 3: Outpost extractors are 10% more efficient.

Rank 4: Previous bonuses doubled. Extractors are 20% more efficient, and all outpost modules cost 20% less to repair.

Additional Info

With Starfield Smithing installed alongside this, crafting higher quality weapons and armor will feel better as you can access the manufactured components quicker.
