Fast Travel Restrictions

Fast Travel Restrictions transforms the way you travel in Starfield by removing most forms of instant fast travel and forcing the player to rely on their ship for navigation.

No more direct trips from the surface of a planet to the other side of the galaxy.

• []Fast travel is only allowed while in space and in orbit, and while seated in the pilot seat of your ship, which means fast travel effectively becomes landing. (Cockpit requirement can be enabled or disabled from the Gameplay Options menu).[/]

  []Blocks fast travel on foot and inside locations unless the option is disabled.[/]

  []Blocks star map travel (far travel / intra-system) unless the option is disabled.[/]

  []Grav jumping from the cockpit works normally, so you must perform the jump manually, which means your ship's Grav Jump Thrust now actually matters. [/]

  []Cruise mode can require grav drive power. (When this feature is enabled, at least 1 pip must be assigned to the grav drive to access cruise mode)[/]

Gameplay Options

The mod can be configured directly from Starfield’s Gameplay Options menu.

You can independently:

• []Enable or disable the mod.[/]

  []Enable or disable intra-system fast travel restrictions.[/]

  []Enable or disable fast travel on foot (On planets).[/]

  []Require the player to be seated in the cockpit.[/]

  []Require grav drive power for cruise mode.[/]

  Customize the experience to match the level of immersion and challenge you want.
