Chrome Shotgun and Melee Weapon Skins

(Craftable or Replacer)

This mod offers two versions:

Craftable Skins – Apply the chrome skin/reforge at a weapon workbench. These versions are slightly lighter and more valuable.

Replacer version – All shotguns and melee weapons automatically adopt the chrome finish, with no stat changes.

Installation:

Download with your preferred mod manager, or unpack the zipped file into Starfield\Data and enable modding in the usual way.

    Features:

    Hand-painted in Photoshop – Meticulously designed textures for a polished, high-quality look.

    Colour motifs adjusted – Colours match weapon lasers for a more cohesive aesthetic.

    ⚠ Warning stickers redone – Most removed, or redesigned for a cleaner, tactical feel.

    🛠 No known compatibility issues – Only replaces textures, so it works with everything.

    Lore-Friendly – Imagine these could be factory new, starborn variants, or just more futuristic.

    Texture detail – The textures used are the same size as vanilla (highest is 2048x2048).

    Melee weapons - new option on workbench to "Reforge" as there is no option for skins in vanilla.

    Chrome melee weapons will occassionally appear on NPCs.

    Known issues:

    • []There are no known issues in the craftable skin version.[/]

      []In the replacer version only, the following weapons will have some slight chrome elements (microgun, negotiator, sidestar pistol, urban eagle pistol). You may find they look better this way anyway.[/]
