📋 About This Mod
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A remake of the original Animated Festive Winter Tree mod by Paradigmnomad with a Simple Foliage retexture and various recolors.
On the 4 days before the Feast of the Winter Star festival, all pine trees will have animated holiday lights on them. Optionally, you can also have them on for the entire Winter using the config options. 🎄
Now converted to Dynamic Game Assets for optimization!
🌈 Recolor options available: ✨
Vanilla
DaisyNiko's Earthy Recolour
StarBlue Valley
Nari's Naturally Valley
A Wittily Named Recolor
Vibrant Pastoral Recolor
Eemie's Just a New Map Recolour
Recolor options must be changed manually, either in the config.json file or by using Generic Mod Config Menu.
You will need to sleep in game for changes to take effect if you use Generic Mod Config Menu while already loaded in your save.
If you decide to change your recolor option through the config.json, please see the Readme included in the mod or this Article for config option names.
Please be advised that if you choose one of these recolours and do not have the recolour mod it is intended to match with downloaded and applied, that the stump and other little bits will not match with the rest of the tree.

📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 150 endorsements and over 5,700 downloads—players are digging it.
- Simple, festive visual upgrade that fits the game's cozy vibe without altering gameplay.
- Optional all-winter setting gives you control over how long the lights stay up.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects pine trees—if you're hoping for lights on every tree, this won't cover it.
- Requires both Content Patcher and Dynamic Game Assets, so you'll need to set up two mods first.
- Last updated in April 2023—might not be compatible with the latest Stardew Valley patches, so check for updates.
For Stardew Valley players who love seasonal aesthetics and want a festive touch without overhauling the game. If you're a fan of Animal Crossing's holiday charm, this is right up your alley. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes—this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have both Content Patcher and Dynamic Game Assets installed and up to date—this mod won't work without them.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or Stardrop to keep track of your mods and avoid load order headaches.
- If you want the lights all winter, check the mod's config file (or in-game settings if supported) to toggle that option.
