Lister and Kryten Hats

Mod does not come with hats !! You have to make them yourselves through Hatter !

Long story short saw that Starbug mod from forever ago (unfortunately I don't think it works with new Starbound) and realised how great of an idea putting the boys from the Dwarf into the game was, except I couldn't find hair for Lister anywhere at all, which led me down a rabbit hole of modding Starbound hair and how impossible it appears to be. I found a solution through drawing my own Lister hair and putting it through Hatter, then spawning the hat in game. Headache avoided!

I then went on to make the rest of the crew with NpcSpawner+ on steam workshop and thought Glitch Kryten just didn't look right...so I drew his head too, in all its square silicone glory.

This mod only contains the pngs for Listers hair and Krytens head, it will not make the hats for you, you will have to put them through Hatter yourself but its suuuuuuuper easy :)

1. Download mod & unzip file

2. Open Hatter

3. Press 'Select image' and choose one of the pngs  (Listers hair is named PatchHuman01 for reasons revolving around my original attempt to mod hair and atp I'm too scared to change it)

4. Change 'Item name' to something more relevant (not necessary but why not)

5. Click both 'Generate item file' and 'Generate command file' -- item file will make it usable in game, command file will mean you can spawn it. I put the generated item files in my /assets folder in Starbound just to be safe, usual steamapps/common route.

6. Open game, type /admin into chat bar and press enter

7. Paste command file in chat bar, it should still be saved from generating it on the website

8. Voila -- hair hat. Or head hat.

You may need to generate the hats a couple times, I had a bit of trouble initially but it gets there in the end. Just equip it in your

cosmetic headgear panel in your inventory and you're good to go. Enjoy!

Uninstalling:

Just take the hats off and delete the files from you computer...or just delete them, I don't think think they're vital enough to break your game.

Be warned that Lister goes bald when he gets into beds but it's pretty funny so it shouldn't be too jarring.
