In questa guida vi andrò ad illustrare come moddare S. T. A. L. K. E. R. - Shadow of Chernobyl per portarlo ai livelli tecnologici di oggi, dalla grafica al gameplay. Mantenendo rigorosamente tutto in italiano. Il gioco diventerà una vera e propria "Remastered" ;)
1) Innanzitutto installate S. T. A. L. K. E. R. - Shadow of Chernobyl aggiornato alla versione 1. 0006 (le versioni Steam e GOG sono già patchate a quest'ultima versione).
2) A questo punto, prima di installare qualsiasi Mod è importante editare il file fsgame.ltx presente nella cartella di installazione del gioco modificando la riga relativa alla cartella \gamedata da:

$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\
3) Scaricate e installate la megamod Autumn Aurora 2. 1. Nell'installarla dovrete specificare il percorso esatto in cui è installato S. T. A. L. K. E. R. - Shadow of Chernobyl. (Se siete su Steam e non sapete come trovarlo: cliccate col tasto dx del mouse sul gioco e poi su “gestisci->sfoglia i file locali").
Durante l'installazione seguite con attenzione i vari passaggi e installate le opzioni che più gradite a vostra scelta (tuttavia consiglio di selezionare l'opzione ENB perchè da quando ho fatto il passaggio a Windows 11, senza questa opzione il gioco mi dà un errore all'avvio).
4) Scaricate la mia traduzione italiana completa della mod. (Si ringrazia david88m per aver realizzato parzialmente la traduzione tempo fa. Io l'ho completata al 100%, revisionata e ho corretto i caratteri accentati in modo da renderli visualizzabili in game).
Aprite la cartella compressa della traduzione e incollate il suo contenuto all'interno della cartella principale del gioco, "S. T. A. L. K. E. R. Shadow of Chernobyl".
Sovrascrivete tutto se vi chiede di farlo.
