📋 About This Mod

"The art of war is not only in knowing your enemy but also in knowing when to STFU about it." - Sun Tzu

Are you tired of NPCs ruining the tension with constant chatter? Sick of enemies announcing their every move like they're auditioning for a reality show? If you’re looking to bring unpredictability and suspense back to the Zone, S. T. F. U. - Shut Those Factions Up is the mod for you.

This mod silences unnecessary enemy dialogue spam, removes giveaway voice lines, and restores the element of surprise to combat. No more NPCs shouting, “I’m throwing a grenade!” or broadcasting their every move—now you’ll need to rely on your senses, just like a true Stalker.

Get ready to immerse yourself in the Zone’s unpredictability and let the silence speak for itself.

By modifying the AvailableDialogpools and silencing key event triggers, I've effectively stripped away the enemy’s habit of narrating their every action.

No complex audio replacements or risky file deletions—just a few tweaks to the game’s logic ensuring maximum compatibility and stability.

  • []Optionals: In order to tailor your Stalker 2 soundscape experience I'm going to be adding optional mods that target different areas of the game. I'm happy to announce that with the addition of the new Bloodsucker Addon, the zone's vampiric nightmares will no longer snore, or woosh in and out of invisibility. They are silent until the moment they are upon you.

I've created an article called "hitlist" for NPC's you'd like me to silence. Please feel free to request new features there too. Thank you!

    1. 1

    • []I've started silencing NPC chatter. Which are the lines of dialogue that repeat every time you pass an NPC. Some of them help set the ambience of the location and are varied. Some of them will spam the same line every. single. time. so I started looking for the main offenders and replacing their dialogue lines with yawning or sneezing. I've mostly been working off player reports which has been extremely helpful:

If you hear something, say something! Ideally like this: I'll open a discussion page for this.

[]Bandits are the loudest and have the most lines. They will use any lines I found that sound intimidating including announcing a search for the player etc. I haven't reverted anything from the previous version. Just left some lines in for them which I took out for other factions.

[]Freestalkers are now the second loudest, but only marginally. They are more sly when searching for the player, they won't tell you once they end the search, but they will react to the player killing their companions.

[*]Military Factions won't say much during combat
