Kups Weapon Keybinds - Number Keys in Slot Order

Vanilla puts the knife on 1 and your primary weapon on 3, which never matches the order the slots appear in. This mod changes the game's default keyboard bindings so the number row follows the slots:

1 primary weapon, 2 secondary weapon, 3 pistol, 4 knife, 5 grenade, 6 detector, 7 bolt. Binoculars stay on 8.

The item wheel moves from Tab to G, so you hold G to open it and let go to close it. The inventory moves from I to Tab, and Tab closes it again, the same way it now closes trade or loot windows and right-click menus. Inside the wheel, the guitar is now played with T, since G is the wheel key. The headlamp and night vision keep L (tap and hold), and the underbarrel launcher keeps hold B.

It edits the default mapping the game ships with, so it works without touching Settings > Controls. Keys you have already rebound yourself are kept, because your saved controls file overrides the defaults. Controller bindings are not changed.

Compatibility

It replaces six of the game's input mapping files: exploration, item wheel, inventory, trade, right-click menu and artifact inspection. Mods that ship their own input contexts, like Lootable Zone and Immersive HUD, are unaffected. Built for game version 2. 0. 6; a game patch that changes these mappings will need an update of this mod.

Installation

Install with Vortex, or drop the three zzz_KupsKeybinds_P files into Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods.
