FULL WEATHER OVERHAUL

Better color. More atmosphere. More real.

Every weather state regraded on the game's own lighting, judged with the color filter off. No green, teal or yellow casts anywhere. Works with any preset above, or with vanilla weather on its own.

• []Clean warm daylight under a deep blue sky, with sparse cumulus that keep their shape instead of smearing into a veil.[/]

Cloudy

• []A blue day with proper overcast, distinct grey lumps with dark bases and lit tops, and no hole when you look straight up.[/]

Light rain

• []The cloudy deck thickened and darkened in places, cooler flat light, distance haze that says rain without the sky going white.[/]

Rain

• []Full grey overcast, cool diffuse light, the sun hidden, a grey rainy distance and a grey-blue dusk instead of an orange one.[/]

Thunder

• []A heavier, darker deck with a hint of cold blue in the shadows, and the sun gone.[/]

Storm

• []The darkest state. A thunderstorm deck leaning toward deep indigo, angry low cumulus, a dark haze, and actual rain, kept lighter than a thunderstorm's so the lightning stays the main event.[/]

Fog

• []A bank that sits on the ground and thins overhead, with a second tall haze layer for depth. Fog takes the color of the light, so the light stays flat and colorless.[/]

Calm before an emission

• []The green is gone. A yellow-orange sky and light that read as the warning they are.[/]

Emission

• []The calm pushed further. Orange-red light over everything, a red-orange deck with yellow cores, an orange wash on the distance, and an orange tornado instead of a salmon one.[/]

Night

• []Deep dark indigo, not blue. Darker overall, with the moon carrying the scene. A clean moon disc, a soft haze around it, no halo rings, no rainbows. Stars only where the sky is actually clear.[/]

  WEATHER PRESETS

  FOR A HIGHLY TUNED, ZONE AWARE, AND STYLISTIC APPROACH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND >> ZONE REALISTIC

  Vanilla weather is wetter and foggier than most people want. The Iron Forest zone from Cost of Hope is the worst of it: the game's own data gives it a fog weight of 45 where the rest of the Zone sits around 5 to 10, with cloudy, rainy and stormy switched off entirely, and its hub scripted to rain all the time. The presets fix that and let you pick an overall mood on top.

  Scripted weather is left alone. Prologue, quest cutscenes, forced storms and forced clear skies all play out exactly as the game intends. Only the everyday open-world weather tables are retuned.

  Tuned to the real climate of the Chornobyl region: mostly overcast rather than fog-or-sun, with proper summer thunderstorms that are not overdone. Fog and rain come down, cloud and thunder go up, everywhere.
