Automatic Loadout

Description

Get back to base, open your stash, press one key - and your inventory is your travel loadout again.

Every trip you carry the same kit: some medkits, bandages, anti-rad, food, a couple of grenades, the ammo for the guns you use. Every return you spend minutes dragging the loot into the stash, then digging the kit back out of it.

Automatic Loadout does that for you. Set up your inventory the way you like it once, save it with a key, and from then on a single keybind puts everything else into your stash and tops your kit back up to the exact amounts you saved.

It replaces my other mod Stash This Ammo (same idea, much bigger scope). If you have that one installed, disable or remove it.

How it works

• []Save your loadout: arrange your inventory the way you want to leave on a trip, open the inventory and press CTRL+SHIFT+2. The mod remembers what you carry and how many of each.[/]

  []Empty and refill: back at base, open your stash (or any container) and press CTRL+2. The mod will:

  []move everything that is not part of your loadout into the stash (loot, junk, spare weapons and armor, artifacts, ammo of calibers none of your equipped weapons use...);[/]

  []bring every stackable item - consumables, ammo, grenades, mutant parts - back to the exact quantity you saved: it puts the excess into the stash and takes the shortfall out of it;[/]

  []return the weapons, attachments and modded items of your loadout that are sitting in the stash.[/]

Hotkeys

• []CTRL+2 - run: empty the bag into the open stash / container (or sell cart) and refill your loadout[/]

  []CTRL+SHIFT+2 - save the current inventory as your loadout[/]

Both can be changed in config.json.

Installation instructions

Vortex: "Install From File", enable it. Done - Vortex places it correctly.

Known issue with Vortex: on some setups Vortex installs all the mod files correctly but doesn't register the mod as enabled with UE4SS, so the hotkey does nothing. If that happens after installing (and after confirming the mod shows as enabled in Vortex's Mods list):

• []Open Stalker2\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\mods.txt in a text editor.[/]

  []Add this line at the end:

  AutomaticLoadout : 1[/]

  []Save and restart the game.[/]

This is a one-time fix - it doesn't need to be repeated unless you reinstall the mod from scratch.

Manual: extract the AutomaticLoadout folder so you end up with Stalker2/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/AutomaticLoadout. If the mod doesn't start, add AutomaticLoadout : 1 to ue4ss/Mods/mods.txt as above.

First use: press CTRL+SHIFT+2 with the inventory you want to carry before pressing CTRL+2. Without a saved loadout, CTRL+2 does almost nothing (only the ammo rule), by design.

Updating: just install the new version over the old one. Your saved loadout is kept.
