Winter's Tale (Early Alpha) (1.8 Ready)

WINTER'S TALE

This mod is the first attempt to create a winter atmosphere in the Exclusion Zone. Over 500 textures have already been reworked, and the weather and effects have been updated.

Mod is only for 1. 6 Version and higher

Mod is in EARLY ALPHA, and 20% of the planned work is done so far. I'm posting it here so others can create their own winter mechanics (like a cold one).

Thanks to Ace, you can test the first version of Snowfall!!

We're still testing the mod, so you might experience some FPS drops.

Already implemented:

- Winter textures and vegetation

- Cold and winter weather

- The howling of the blizzard ( No snowfall effect yet. )

-  Feature a puddle mechanic. The Zone will feature fully frozen puddles, partially frozen ones, and regular puddles.

In the plans

- Snowfalls and storms (there is still rain in the game at the moment)

- New sounds of walking in the snow

- New winter textures and models

- Cutting out all living creatures that are not suitable for winter (grasshoppers(sorry:c) , etc.)

- Winter appearance of some monsters

The mod contains bugs, crooked textures, etc. cause it's early build

And one more time - I'm releasing an early version of the mod so people can combine it with other winter mods and mechanics.

Installation:

- Drop files into your ~mods folder

Fun fact: If you install both the winter and autumn mods on Steam, you'll get an early winter where snow has just fallen.

Autumn + Winter mod = Early winter

Winter mod = Just standard winter

Dead Zone + Winter Mod = Late winter ( like March)
