The Untamed Zone

Enough time has passed since the Second Great Emission for the Noosphere to completely rewrite the laws of biology.

The Zone is no longer just "rusty factories under a grey sky." It has become a primordial, aggressive frontier where nature has taken a crushing revenge. While SIRCAA scientists debate the causes, the Exclusion Zone has transformed into an impenetrable jungle atop the ruins of a Soviet utopia.

Asphalt roads are torn asunder by powerful roots, and the once-open fields of the Garbage and Zaton are now swallowed by thick, radioactive shadow. "The Untamed Zone" mod brings back the raw feeling of dangerous discovery — where every meter of the path toward the Center must be fought for through a wall of living, hostile forest.

  A global re-greening of all locations. Thousands of trees and shrubs have been integrated into the landscape, accounting for local anomalous activity. The Zone now appears more abandoned, wild, and hauntingly majestic.[/]

  In the face of ultra-dense undergrowth, old combat tactics are obsolete. Thick vegetation is your natural camouflage against Varta patrols and Monolith fanatics, but it is also the perfect ambush site for a Bloodsucker or a pack of Blind Dogs.[/]

  Every territory has developed its own "botanical signature." The Forgotten Swamps are choked with toxic alder, the outskirts of Duga have turned into an impassable pine forest, and the Red Forest has pushed its borders further than ever.[/]
