Toggle laser attachment VFX on the player's weapons; off by default, toggled via keypress, remembers last state.

LaserToggle

Turn your weapon laser on and off with a keypress, as well as customise it. The laser starts off when you load in; press X to switch it on and off, complete with proper on/off click sounds. The attachment stays fitted, so you keep its bonuses. Now with a full in-game settings menu for colour, brightness, and the toggle key thanks to Mod Configuration Menu!

What it does

• []Weapon laser is off by default; the toggle key (default X - can rebind in game) switches it on and off.[/]

  []Plays the real laser on/off click sounds for the toggle.[/]

  []Per-weapon memory - every weapon slot remembers its own on/off state, so swapping guns keeps each laser the way you left it.[/]

  []Works while sprinting and aiming.[/]

  []The attachment itself stays installed - its bonuses are retained.[/]

  In-game settings menu

  Open the settings menu (see below) to customise the laser live, no restart needed:

  • []Laser colour - pick a preset (Red, Amber, Green, Cyan, Blue, Violet) or dial in your own custom colour with R / G / B sliders.[/]

    []Intensity - choose how bright the laser reads, from subtle to bold.[/]

    []Hide the beam - keep just the projected dot on the surface, with no visible beam line.[/]

    []Hide the dot - keep the beam line without the surface dot (beam still collides, this is just for completely removing the laser effects).[/]

    []Rebind the toggle - set the toggle to any key or gamepad button, or switch it off entirely (haven't tested gamepad properly - let me know how it goes :P)[/]

    The in-game settings menu is provided through Mod Configuration Menu (MCM), which you need installed to change colour, brightness, hide options, and the toggle key.

      Without MCM the mod still works - the laser toggles on the default X key - but the settings above can't be adjusted in-game.

      > New settings only appear on a fresh save / new game. Load a new game once after installing to make the menu show up.

      How to use

      1. Install this mod (and Mod Configuration Menu for the settings).

      2. In game, press X to toggle the laser on and off.

      3. Open the Mod Configuration
