BetterDifficulty is an overhaul of the difficulty settings in S. T. A. L. K. E. R. 2. Instead of simple damage multipliers, this mod touches every aspect of the gameplay experience—from the price of a loaf of bread to the speed at which your armor degrades in a chemical anomaly.

• []Re-balanced Economy: Quest rewards and trader prices have been overhauled. Making money is harder on "Stalker" difficulty, while "Easy" provides a more relaxed progression.

  []High Lethality Combat: Weapon damage for both the player and NPCs has been tuned for a "fast and deadly" feel. Headshots remain king.

  []Tactical Survival: Bleeding, hunger, and radiation now require more attention. Natural health regeneration is slower on higher difficulties, making every bandage and medkit count.

  []Equipment Maintenance: Armor and weapons degrade slightly slower/ Repair costs have been adjusted to create a meaningful choice between maintaining gear and buying new sets.

  []Hardcore HUD Options: Higher difficulty levels (Hard/Stalker) now disable the compass, crosshair, and body/stash markers for a truly immersive experience.

  • Stalker: The ultimate challenge. Every bullet is expensive, the Zone is merciless, and the HUD is almost entirely stripped away.
