📋 About This Mod
Press ESC or O to skip intro. Works on cutscenes too i believe, can also change which ones in settings of the mod.
v1 skip intro - Spider-Man Web of Shadows
Press ESC or O on controller during the intro and it skips straight to the main
menu. One press does both videos.
Only skips the startup videos. Cutscenes, credits and the menu video are
untouched.
Installation
In game folder beside the game .exe, rename binkw32.dll to binkw32_o.dll incase
need to revert game or uninstall skip intro
Extract zip contents into game directory/image/pc, beside the game exe.
Overwrite binkw32.dll (if you didn't back it up)
Uninstall
Delete binkw32.dll (skipintro one) and skipintro.ini and rename the _o one back
to binkw32.dll.
Controller
Launch through Steam. Circle comes through as B and that's what it looks for.
Settings
In skipintro.ini next to the dll. Restart the game after changing anything.
0 = off
1 = on
Enable=1, change it to 0 if you want to disable this mod
ChainMs=10000
After you skip, anything in this many milliseconds gets skipped too. This is
because the main intro and the aspyre intro are 2 seperate videos and youd have
to skip both if it was disabled. (change it to 0 to disable)
Log=0
Writes a skip intro log next to dll every video the game opens and every skip,
useful if something isn't getting skipped, so you put it in the list below.
Movies=atvi,marvel,treyarch,shaba,aspyr,intro
Only these can be skipped. Anything not in the list cant be, thats what keeps
cutscenes safe. Only intro and aspyr play on my copy, the rest are there incase
yours is different.
Notes
Doesnt touch your saves, the exe or any game files. Only binkw32.dll and your
original is right there renamed. If you're scared it will mess up your game
then back it up first, it works for me fine.
ESC is read globally so if you alt tab during the intro and press ESC somewhere
else it still skips. Only matters for those few seconds.
If you already use another binkw32 mod like a widescreen fix you can chain them
by making that mods dll the binkw32_o.dll. Havent tested it.
Game is old and flaky, it black screened on me a few times during testing and
it did the same with the mod removed. Set Enable=0 and see if it still does it
before blaming this.
