Sephiroth

Descending to battle from Final Fantasy VII, Sephiroth, the One-Winged Angel and one of the most revered and feared video game villains of all time, joins Smack Studio! While he is an almost one-to-one port of his Smash Bros self, he does have a few differences in his moveset, as well as references to some of his more quirky moments in the original 1997 classic. For example, remember that T-pose he was doing with his mouth wide open during a certain girl's death scene? Yeah, that's his taunt now. NEUTRAL SPECIAL: Flare / Megaflare / Gigaflare This is the same as Sephiroth's Neutral Special from Super Smash Bros, in which he charges up a fiery projectile and sends it flying straight forward. Charge up the attack for longer to unleash a flare that moves slower and travels less distance but deals more damage! SIDE SPECIAL: Blade Dash / Octaslash Sephiroth will stab his blade straight forward at great speed. Charge up the attack to deal a series of eight slashes for even more damage! UP SPECIAL: One-Winged Angel "Because, Cloud. You are..." Sephiroth flies upward in the same way that he left after killing a certain girl, allowing him to gain significant height for recovery. Oh, and remember that goofy moment in the Nibelheim basement where he did a frontflip before flying away? He can do that here too! Just follow up with a SIDE B to cover a decent amount of horizontal distance. Or, you can follow up with a DOWN B to dive straight downwards with a very familiar stabbing move. DOWN SPECIAL: Reflect Sephiroth casts a green shield in front of him that reflects incoming projectiles. It also can damage enemies right in front of Sephiroth at the start of the move. ULTRA: Heartless Angel No, Sephiroth doesn't have Supernova this time around. Disappointing, I know. Instead, his Ultra is a lesser known but arguably more lethal move of his that would leave targets at 1 HP in the original FF7.
