Vac Filter

Choose what your vacpack does NOT suck up.

What it does

Ever vacuumed a slime by accident while collecting plorts, or grabbed the fruit you wanted to leave for your chickens? Vac Filter adds a simple menu where you check the categories the vacpack should ignore. Blocked items are left alone, everything else works as usual.

No new upgrades and no changes to your saves: you can install or remove it at any time.

  How to use

  • []Press R to open the filter menu (the game pauses).[/]

    []Click a category to check it. Checked = the vacpack ignores it.[/]

    []Press R or click Close to exit.[/]

  The filter resets when you restart the game.

  Installation

  • []Install SRML if you don't have it yet.[/]

    []Extract the VacFilterMod folder into Slime Rancher\SRML\Mods\ (keep the lang folder inside it).[/]

    []Launch the game.[/]

  To uninstall, delete the VacFilterMod folder.

  Configuration

  Edit ModConfig.json in the mod folder (changes apply the next time you start the game):

  • []language: "auto" uses the game's language, or set a code like "fr" or "pt-br".[/]

    []key: the menu hotkey. R is the game's default radar key, so while the mod uses R the radar won't toggle. Set another key (for example "B") if you want both.[/]

    []enableHud: turns the menu and its hotkey off.[/]

    []enableLogF6: F6 writes the blocked categories to the log.[/]

    Languages

    English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean are included. The mod uses your game's language and switches when you change it in the options.

    Adding or fixing a language:

    • []Copy lang/en.json to lang/<code>.json (for example lang/it.json).[/]

      []Translate the values (the text on the right). Don't change the keys.[/]

      []Open the filter menu: the files are re-read every time it opens.[/]

    Missing entries fall back to English, so partial translations work. Most translations other than Spanish and English were made without native review, so corrections are very welcome: send me your file and I'll include it with credit.

      []It only hooks the vacpack's capture check and the radar key, so it should play well with other mods.[/]
