Description

A compilation of my work on enhancing the visual quality of both playable and non-playable characters in 'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition'. It covers skin, eyes, war paint and more.

I'm not sure if I still have my old comparison screenshots, if I find them I will add them.

This is a conversion of the original mod from 2011. Unlike the one I uploaded half a year ago, this one actually works.

There was also another conversion done by "WitchMom", but it does not include everything.

Also I am planning to convert my other mods to Special Edition in the near future.

    Installation

    • []Use 7zip or WinRar to extract the files

      []Find the Skyrim folder here: Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim

      []Move the Data folder into your Skyrim folder

      []Merge the folder when asked, it will not get replaced

      []Download and install Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) (1. 6. 6 or later)

      []Check the Data folder and create the SKSE folder if necessary

      []Check the SKSE folder and create the SKSE.ini file if necessary

      []Open SKSE.ini

    • Add the following entry to the .ini file if necessary

      iTintTextureResolution=2048

      Note: I have not tested the .ini edit yet, I'm not sure if it works the same for Special Edition.

      Uninstallation

      Check the original archive to find out what files to remove.

      Or use your favourite mod manager to uninstall XCE.
