The Wooden Shield is a light shield featured in the Dark Souls series. It is not the best shield when it comes to blocking physical damage, but it has some innate magic resistance. Incoming magic damage is reduced by 25% when blocking with the shield. It may be enchanted without losing the magic resistance effect.
The shield is sometimes used by enemies and sold by merchants. It is injected into leveled lists with a script and starts to appear in game after reaching level 10. It is also possible to craft the shield at a forge from firewood and steel ingots, located in 'Wood' category. Crafting requires no perks but 'Steel Smithing' perk doubles improvements at a workbench.
