📋 About This Mod
Spiritual successor my mod The Autumn of Whiterun,
Welcome to Winter in Windhelm! This mod completely changes the look and the feel of Windhelm. This mod is NOT JUST TREES! The city that was once the abused and underwhelming concrete jungle of Stormcloaks is now one of the more beautiful and interesting cities in Skyrim! Explore the city caked in sturdy pine trees and new bridges and walkways for you to explore. Not only does this mod make the city more interesting, but it also makes in literally bigger than before, unlocking new unique locations for you to adventure in! Expect more and more expansions from this mod as I discover new ways to let the player explore the city! From this mod you can expect:
New Unique Areas to Explore Custom paths give you access to completely new areas within the city, explore to find them all!
Lore-Friendly Enhancements The city is filled with the symbols and banners of the Stormcloaks making it clear who runs the city and what they are fighting for in the war.
Stable Performance There will be nearly no performance hit to your game as much of the things that are added are static objects.
Eye-Candy Let's be honest, old Windhelm was sort of depressing. And while there still are elements of the murderous activities within the city... at least it looks nice!
I appreciate any and all feedback on the mod for ideas as to what could be added next to this seemingly new city! If you're a fan of the Stormcloaks, you definitely won't be disappointed with these changes.

- Adds real explorable content, not just cosmetic trees—new paths and areas to find.
- Performance-friendly design with static objects, so you won't tank your FPS in Windhelm.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2017, so it's likely incompatible with newer Skyrim versions or mods that alter Windhelm.
- Potential conflicts with other city overhauls or mods that modify Windhelm's layout.
- The mod's expansion promise is vague—no specifics on how many new areas or their size.
For Skyrim players who want to make Windhelm feel more alive and visually appealing without a heavy performance cost. Stormcloak fans will appreciate the lore-friendly banners and symbols. Skip if you're looking for gameplay changes or if you use other mods that heavily overhaul Windhelm, as conflicts may arise.
💡 Beginner Tips
