✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tight integration with Nature of the Wild Lands—spruce models match the overhaul's aesthetic.
- Clear load order instructions and master setup, so it's straightforward to install correctly.
- Active maintenance (last updated May 2026) and a small but dedicated following (16 endorsements).
⚠️ Cons
- Hard requirement on Nature of the Wild Lands means it's useless without that big overhaul.
- DynDOLOD generation is mandatory, which adds setup time and complexity for LODs.
- Potential conflicts with other landscape/water mods if load order isn't followed exactly.
For Skyrim modders who already use Nature of the Wild Lands and want a more cohesive forest around Whiterun. If you're not using that overhaul, skip this—it won't work without it. Also for players comfortable with DynDOLOD generation.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Install this after Nature of the Wild Lands and run DynDOLOD to generate LODs, or distant trees will look wrong.
- Place the plugin in your load order right after NOTWL.esp but before any mod that changes landscapes or water.
- If you already have Whiterun Forest Borealis Lightweight.esp, this mod replaces it—no need to keep both.
