📋 About This Mod
Normally, it is next to impossible to select things from the console in Skyrim VR. This mod addresses several issues that make it so difficult.
Selection is done in the desktop window of the game that is displayed on your monitor (i.e. not inside VR, you should take off / flip up your hmd), with the mouse cursor (the regular windows cursor, not the in-game cursor that appears within the console window).
Sometimes, when you open the console, the mouse will never update its position and selection will be wrong. When you open the console, make sure the in-game mouse cursor actually moves when your windows mouse cursor moves. If it doesn't, then you need to re-open the console. You should still use the windows cursor to do the actual selection though, not the in-game cursor. Just make sure the in-game cursor moves.
The issues this mod addresses are:
-
[]Normally, the query used for console selection starts between your eyes. The desktop window only displays your left eye, so this is not aligned how it should be. This mod offsets the query to start from the left eye center instead of between the eyes.
[
]The projection done when mapping the mouse on the screen to the camera query is misaligned and diverges the farther the mouse is from the eye center. This mod completely re-implements the screen-space to world-space mapping to actually be correct. - The player interferes with the console selection. A majority of the time, clicking in the console results in accidentally selecting the player, due to the PlayerWorldNode being in the way. This node doesn't exist in non-VR so it's not an issue there. This mod ignores the PlayerWorldNode for console selection.
Fixes mouse selection in the console for VR players, making it functional. A small utility mod with 116 endorsements and high downloads, last updated February 2025. Essential for VR users who rely on the console.

- Tiny download, no bloat
- High download-to-endorsement ratio suggests it's widely used
⚠️ Cons
- Niche fix—only matters if you use the console in VR

For VR players who use the in-game console and are tired of mouse clicks not registering. If you're a flatscreen player or never touch the console, skip it—this does nothing for you.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you're in VR mode when testing the fix—it won't affect desktop play.
- If you use a mod manager, install it like any other mod; if manual, just drop the files into your game folder.
- Test with a simple console command first to confirm the fix works before relying on it.
