versions can be found, each with an effect that is applied once all four pieces are worn.
The armor is made with vanilla assets as a base, so it fits into the game seamlessly.

The heavy armor is equivalent to the ebony tier, while the light armor is equivalent to glass. Standard versions with no set effects can be crafted with the ebony smithing perk. The hood offers much less protection than a helmet, but is balanced by the other pieces having a higher armor rating.

In addition to the standard craftable versions, 3 Legendary sets can be found in a chest behind the altar in Volkihar Cathedral after confronting Harkon. Each Legendary set gives a bonus when all pieces are worn (Legendary Volkihar Knight cuirass, boots, gauntlets, and hood). Depending on the cuirass, a different set bonus will be applied:

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust with 19,168 endorsements and 1.7 million downloads
- Lore-friendly design that fits vampire playthroughs without breaking immersion
- Gives you both heavy and light options, so any build can use it
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2019, so it might not be fully compatible with the latest Skyrim updates or mods
- No detailed crafting or quest instructions provided by the author
- Requires progressing through the Volkihar questline to get the legendary versions, which might be a hassle for some
For vampire roleplayers who want a lore-friendly armor set that fits the Dawnguard aesthetic. Also great for players who like having both heavy and light armor options for different builds. Skip if you're looking for gameplay-changing effects or if you prefer more flashy, non-lore armors.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to have the Dawnguard DLC installed, as the armor references Volkihar locations and quests.
- Craft the standard versions at any forge under the appropriate category (Daedric or Ebony, depending on the mod's integration).
- For the legendary versions, you'll need to progress through the main Dawnguard questline until after confronting Harkon, then explore Volkihar Cathedral thoroughly.
