This mod adds 6 wizard brim hats to the game, each with 4 different hair options.
There weren't enough good wizard hats for men, so I did these :)
They are designed to match the Traveling Mage Robes by Fuse00 and Xtudo, plus an additional brown hat.
And now, also a grey hat to match Windcaller Robes.
Thanks to LevinLozenges for assisting in adding these variants and getting the mod working as it's my first mod.
These hats are good for male, female and beast characters and utilise Fuse's hair variants from the Inquisitor set. There is also a no hair option.
There are crafting recipes for the traveling mage colour versions at a tanning rack.
Or, add via console commands. hit ` tilde and type:
help "brim hat"
player.additem <reference id> 1
plain hat ID is no hair - operates as a circlet
hat A is short hair
hat B is long hair
hat C is ponytail hair

I use the Apostasy Modlist, and have added my mod / traveling mage robes to my own version of the list.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 371 endorsements and over 112k downloads
- Pairs perfectly with popular robe mods—Traveling Mage and Windcaller—so you can complete your look
- Hair options on each hat mean more variety without extra mods
⚠️ Cons
- Cosmetic only—no stats or enchantments, so if you want gameplay value, look elsewhere
- Requires the Traveling Mage Robes mod to get the full intended look, so it's not standalone for that style
- Compatibility risk with other hat mods that alter the same slots—test with your load order
For Skyrim players who love the Traveling Mage or Windcaller robes and want matching headgear. Also for fashion-focused players who enjoy mixing and matching cosmetic pieces. Skip if you want hats with gameplay effects.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager, just download and activate—no manual placement needed.
- Check that the hat models don't clip with your character's hair; the hair options are built-in, so you might not need extra hair mods.
- Since it's cosmetic, it won't affect your game's balance, so feel free to use it with any difficulty mods.
