📋 About This Mod
Now you can use your own retexture mods to edit the textures on Mihail's Dwarven Automatons
I used Sniff to batch process the texture paths.
Requires the original mod by Mihail, just let this overwrite it. If you don't want to use the full Automaton Pack, this should work to overwrite the component mods as well.

This mod edits the texture paths on all meshes in Mihail's Dwarven Automatons Pack to use vanilla dwemer metal textures, ensuring your retextures apply to the new creatures. It's a compatibility patch for players who want visual consistency with their existing texture overhauls. With 175 endorsements and 18,525 downloads, it's a niche but useful utility for modded Skyrim setups.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective fix for a common annoyance—no more mismatched textures on Mihail's automatons
- Lightweight and doesn't add new files, just edits paths, so it's easy on performance
- Community-tested with 175 endorsements and 18k downloads, so it's proven to work
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects texture paths, so if you don't use custom dwemer retextures, this mod does nothing for you
- Requires Mihail's Dwarven Automatons Pack as a base, so it's useless without that mod
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter the same meshes or texture paths—check your load order
For Skyrim modders who use Mihail's Dwarven Automatons Pack and have custom dwemer texture overhauls installed. If you want your retextures to show up on the new creatures, this is a must-have. Skip it if you're happy with the default textures or don't use texture mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have Mihail's Dwarven Automatons Pack installed first, then drop this mod's files into your Data folder or use a mod manager.
- If you're using a mod manager, load this mod after the Automatons Pack to ensure the texture path edits take effect.
- Test with your preferred dwemer retexture (like Kanjs' Borderlands) to confirm the new creatures match your other dwemer structures.
