True North is my vision of Skyrim —a wabbajack list of 1000+ mods. A celebration of the Skyrim modding community’s incredible work over the last 14+ years.

Modding, Simplified

• []Modding Skyrim in todays day and age is no easy task. To get the best possible experience, you need to master countless tools — xEdit, DynDOLOD, xLODGen, Grass Cache, Creation Kit, Pandora, Synthesis, Wrye Bash, Bodyslide (the list goes on and on). Let me handle all of that for you.[/]

The Vision

• []Roleplaying is the heart of the experience. Alternate start lets you choose your own beginning and every notable questline has been altered to provide more roleplaying opportunity's. [/]

• []Experience your character fully voiced — with both male and female voice options that bring every line, shout, and choice to life. [/]

• []Survival is fully integrated — not as a punishment, but as a way to slow down, breathe, and truly live in the handcrafted world. (Turn off survival by disabling survival mode improved mod if survival is not your thing) [/]

A Living, Breathing Skyrim

• []New Seasons and Weathers — Experience Skyrims landscapes as the seasons change. My favourite is winter, draping the entire map in a stunning blanket of snow. [/]

• []Persistent world changes — Solve the mystery of a burned-down house and watch it be rebuilt later. Clear a monster-infested mine and return to see the nearby town thriving again. See the scars of the Civil War slowly heal over time. (and much more)[/]

• []Dynamic world events — Thanks to SRC: Conquering of Skyrim, clearing a bandit fort means guards from the local hold will move in to reclaim it.[/]

Combat 

• Vanilla Skyrim’s third-person combat suffers from “ice skating,” with attacks feeling weightless. True North replaces this with a grounded step & swing system using the latest and greatest combat framework BFCO. Dodging and timed blocks included.[]1st, 3rd person dodging and parrying[/]

  []Precision — realistic weapon physics and collisions. [/]

  []Dismemberment Framework — cut arms and legs and body parts off.[/]

  []Sanguine Symphony — realistic blood sprays, sound and kill effects.[/]

  []NPC Spell Variance — npcs can use all spells they know. (In base skyrim NPC's would only spam 1 spell) [/]

Performance

On a desktop system with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 (8 GB) and an Intel i7-13700KF, True North maintains a stable 60 FPS across all areas. On a laptop equipped with an RTX 4050, performance drops can occur in demanding locations such as outside Whiterun. However, when the included Performance profile is selected in Mod Orgnaizer 2, the same laptop maintains a consistent 60 FPS throughout the game.

You need Latest Version of Skyrim form steam with all Creation Club content installed. (Other retailers (GOG, Epic, etc.) are unsupported because hundreds of SKSE mods in this list dont work for those game versions.

Widscreen Supported (Select the Widescreen profile in Mod Organizer 2)

Controller Support  (Select the Controller profile in Mod Orgnaizer 2)

True north is 215GB to install. Once Wabbajack finishes installing, you can safely delete everything inside the “Downloads” folder to bring the total size down to 145GB.

 Installation:

• []Download Wababajck, Open the Wabbajack.exe

  []Search for “True North” in the list. (You must check the "show non featured lists" check box to see True North)

  []Click Download and Install 

  Last Step: Open the True North folder, launch MO2, ensure SKSE is selected, then click Run. (That's it).[/]
