Thief Experience (Experience Add-on)

Descriptions

Thief Experience is a small add-on mod for Experience mod, which allows you to get experience from Lockpicking and Pickpocketing. XP gain values are set/calculated with global variables, so you can customize the values in-game (set command) or using xedit.

Below Global Variables determine xp gained from unlocking locks of each level, from Novice (XP1) to Master (XP5).

  Limitations

  Lockpicking xp is gained by using Lockpicking UI open/close event and crosshair check. When the Lockpicking UI opens, the object in your crosshair will be recognized, and when Lockpicking UI closes, it checks if the object is still locked or not. If unlocked, you get the XP. While it should work in normal situations, if there are any case where Lockpicking UI is not used or objects are unlocked without directly activating it while it's not in the crosshair, you get no xp.

  Pickpocket can only give you xp for single item when you pickpocket items in a batch (like 6+ same item at once). This is because Add Item Story Manager cannot receive how many instances of the item you picked up. You'll need to pick items one by one. Also, it checks base value of the item pickpocketed, which means you get xp for value of non-enchanted base item when pickpocketing enchanted items.

  Pickpocket can easily be abused by reverse pickpocketing and pickpocketing the item back. But it was a thing in vanilla too.
