📋 About This Mod
EDIT - 11/27/23 - I am no longer supporting this mod and offer everything as is. I am simply not a good enough modder to really do anything else here. If anyone is interested in making a newer, updated Thematic Loot, with tools like CID or SPID, please reach out to me and I will be happy to assist. Thank you.
Thematic Loot is one of the most overlooked loot mods for Legendary Edition. I converted it over to SE and tweaked it a bit for my personal use. I reached out to Tiny Lampe and they gave me permission to port it over to SE. I've uploaded both my version and the original, untouched LE version at their request. Both have had meshes and textures optimized using the Cathedral Assets Optimizer and have had the plugins converted to Form 44 using the CK.
My version simply removes all instances of Dwemer Coins and Nordic Coins so it is compatible with Skyrim Coin Replacer Redux, another LE mod that does an awesome job addressing what type of coins you find in Dwemer and Ancient Nordic ruins. Both mods add Dwarven and Nordic coins, but I like what SCRR does better so I removed the coins from my version of TL. I have not yet asked for permission to port that mod, so you'd have to download and convert that yourself. Use my version on its own and you won't see any sort of new coins added to your world, or, use the untouched LE version for Dwemer and Nordic coins added to the level lists.
This mod only changes the leveled items found in specific chests, but it can become a compatibility headache depending on your level list mod set up, so I will not be taking any requests for individual patches. I simply ran a Smashed Patch with TL and my other loot mods and the automatic output from the Smashed Patch was perfect as is. You can do that, use TL on its own, or create your own patches. I highly recommend using this with a Smashed Patch and double checking in SSEEdit afterwards to see if it did what you want.

As for what TL does, here is the original description from Tiny Lampe:
1. Motivation behind this mod
-------------------------------------------
Once I opened a dwemer chest. I was expecting to find something representative of the dwemer and its culture. Like, I don't know...dwemer weapons and armor? dwemer coins? Potions from millenia ago? Instead I got an iron sword, some gold coins and a freshly-baked potion like those you can find at Belathor's. WHAT THE...?!
Once I opened a falmer chest. I was expecting to find something representative of the falmer and its culture. Like, I don't know...poisonous ingredients? human remains? pieces of their tribal armors? Instead I got some gold coins, a health potion and a lockpick. A lockpick! WHAT THE...?!
Once I opened a mage chest. I was expecting to find something useful for rougue sp

For Skyrim players who love immersion and hate finding endgame gear in random chests. If you're a roleplayer or a completionist who wants loot to make sense, this is for you. Skip if you prefer overpowered or random loot—this mod is all about believability.
