📋 About This Mod
This mod is inspired by 123hamster (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57164)
Description
TUDM today is still someones' favorite because of some of its distinguished advantages. However, TUDM's dodge distance and speed are far too long and fast from my perspective, especially when performed by your opponent. And I was curious that why so long no body has made a patch for it, so I made a little one.
Functions
The main file is a Nemesis patch which reduces TUDM's dodge distance by 33% (for example, forwardroll distance was 450 before, with this patch installed, it will be 300). This covers both roll and stepside, 1st person and 3rd person.
There is also an optional file which includes a modified TUDM script to make all dodge animation 25% slower.
Installation
1 Of course you need Nemesis(though tudm doesn't necessarily need it to work) and TUDM. I know you know where to find them :)
2 After install the TUDM and this patch(or you can just combine this patch with your TUDM or Nemesis file), just refresh the Nemesis as usual.
------------
3 If you prefer the slower-file as well, remember to keep it AFTER the TUDM vanilla files. The slower-file is a script so has nothing to do with Nemesis, but may be conflicted with other mods which touched the same script.
Note
The optional file is one of the main scripts of TUDM, I made a little modification on it to make all the dodge speed slower. But it is actually comes from here:

OsmosisWrench's excellent work is quite necessary since it fixes many bugs, but I have to make a change on it because this is the most convenient way to slow down the dodge speed.
This mod tweaks The Ultimate Dodge Mod to make dodges shorter and slower, offering a more grounded, tactical feel. With 111 endorsements and over 10,000 downloads, it's a niche but popular tweak for players who find the default dodge too floaty or fast.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 111 endorsements and over 10k downloads
- Directly addresses a common complaint about TUDM's dodge being too long and fast
- Simple tweak that can significantly change combat feel without overhauling the mod
⚠️ Cons
- Only works with TUDM, so it's useless if you don't use that mod
- Slower dodges might make you more vulnerable in fast-paced fights
- Compatibility risk with other animation mods that alter dodge behavior
For Skyrim players who use TUDM and want a more grounded, realistic dodge that doesn't send you flying across the room. If you prefer the original fast, snappy dodges, skip this.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure TUDM is installed and working before adding this tweak, as it modifies TUDM's behavior.
- Test the dodge in a safe area to see if the slower speed feels right for your playstyle.
- If you use other animation mods, load this one after them to ensure it takes effect.
