📋 About This Mod
The Grass Your Mother Warned About aims to be everything its name intends to be. You’ll get hooked and won’t want any other grass mod out there – I hope so at least – because I guess I’ve made a mod that is like one of those cases of “love or hate”.
This mod is a comprehensive overhaul of the game grasses, that just started as a simple grass mod for Xbox back in March of 2021 and became an ambitious project that I hope to become a sweet memory for the modding community.
If I ever label this mod with any style it would be fantasy themed, because it stays a bit away from the other grass mods available, that goes for a bleak and more realistic look. I’m not saying that The Grass Your Mom Warned About is not lore-friendly – YES, it does! – however you can expect a more colorful and epic experience.
Talking about epicness, I’d like to highlight all the inspiration Northern Grass and Folkvangr gave me to build this mod: without those great mods this wouldn’t be possible.

For installation, use your favorite mod organizing tool or extract all the files inside your data folder.
For INI settings I used the following on my Xbox One S and had decent performance, so I guess most PCs can handle them. (You can edit your Skyrim.ini or simply use the one provided by this mod)

iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=15
iMinGrassSize=40
If it hurts your performance you can increase iMinGrassSize until you have acceptable results, the higher this value the less grass density.
This mod must be loaded under your landscape textures and above any mod that does land edits (water mods included), as any other grass mod. Important note: load this mod after any mod that touches swordfern.dds and fallforestobject02.dds (Like Skyrim Flora Overhaul, Mari’s AIO and others).
