📋 About This Mod
A conversion of NewerMind43 and TenebrisEquitem's Breton Knight and Hero armors for HIMBO.
Overview
This is a Bodyslide conversion of The Breton Hero Armor HDT-SMP for HIMBO v5, covering both the older Breton Knight set by newermind43 and TenebrisEquitem's Breton Hero set that was backported from Oblivion Remastered. I've also taken the liberty to add naked legs beyond both body armor meshes' pants so they can be feasibly used standalone or with shorter shoes without a blatant leg gap, and inflated the Hero's armor around the wrists to minimize clipping with bare hands.
The naked legs in both body armors can potentially clip around the calves with certain animations. It should be benign in normal gameplay unless you keep looking under the flapping coat; I would suggest just equipping the matching boots if it bothers you enough.
Optional zap toggles are available to get rid of the loincloth from either/both sets' body armor and the belt on Hero's hoods.
Installation
Install as normal through your mod manager and batch build through BodySlide using your preferred preset. The BretonHero HIMBO Patch.esp plugin can go anywhere under the original mod's plugin.
All BodySlide files are contained under the HIMBO NewerMind43 Breton Hero category for ease of building.
In case it's not clear on the original mod page: This refit is not compatible with the Breton Knight's original iteration due to changes in the UV map textures with the newest release.
Weathered retexture set-up (post v1. 3)
Using the weathered retexture file in the original mod's v1. 2 simply required letting that file's BSAs win any overwrite conflicts with the original HDT file, then building the (Weathered) tagged BodySlides from this mod.
This is not the case as of v1. 3 due to the update changing the plugin's name, and I can't exactly include the original weathered textures here. If you'd like to still use the Weathered retexture's Breton Knight alongside the newly added Breton Hero set, here are some quick steps to have it look as intended:
[]Download Breton Knight HDT - Weathered Retexture and extract The Legends-Breton Knight - Textures.bsa. You'll need to then unpack this BSA via CAO.
[]Move the loose textures folder to any mod in your mod manager (any conflicts with loose files and BSAs will always favor the loose files, regardless of load order).
[]When building Breton Knight BodySlides, ensure the (Weathered) tagged projects are being built over their normal counterparts.
[](Optional) If you want to save a bit of disk space, you can delete the cubemaps sub-folder and the arrow, arrow_n, arrow_s, weapons_d, weapons_n, and weapons_s dds files inside the textures/newermind43/bretonknight folder that was moved earlier. You might also opt to downscale the remaining "knight" texture files via CAO at your own discretion; I would personally only downscale the knight_
