Thane Me Slower - Becoming Thane requires more Favors

"There is room in my court for a new Thane. However, I could only grant the title to someone who is known throughout my Hold."

Becoming Thane never even required you to leave the Jarl's city due to how low the requirements were. Now you need to actually go around the Hold and complete favors for more citizens, to truly become "known throughout the Hold".

This tiny mod changes two Global variables - the number of Friends required to become Thane in Minor Holds, and the number of Friends required to become Thane in Major Holds.

• []The requirement for Major Holds (Haafingar, Eastmarch, Whiterun, The Reach and The Rift) is now 10 (up from 5).

  []The requirement for Minor Holds (Falkreath, Hjaalmarch, The Pale and Winterhold) is now 5 (up from 3).

  Note: There are enough citizens in each hold to accommodate the higher totals, but there's less leeway if anyone dies!

  • []Exiled Jarls Don't Require Favors - If a Jarl has been exiled by the Civil War, any active Favor quests will fail when you report back to them.

    []Miscellaneous Quests are Favors - Adds Disposition increases to all the Freeform and Favor Miscellaneous Quests which didn't have them.

    []Thane of Riften Requires Favors - This is required for the new Riften counter, otherwise Riften counts Miscellaneous Objectives instead of Favors.

    []Thane of Whiterun Requires Favors - Becoming Balgruuf's Thane requires completion of Favors in addition to defeating the dragon.

  • Thanes Require Houses - Becoming Thane of Falkreath, Hjaalmarch and the Pale requires purchase of the Hearthfire houses.

    Plus any mods which add additional citizens and Favors to the smaller holds (to give more leeway in the event of accidental death).

    Known Issue

    The quest counter total will not update if this mod is enabled on an existing save (but the higher requirement will still be used).
