📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 1,506 endorsements and 458k downloads show it's a proven mod.
- Adds real depth to blocking—now you can counter magic, not just melee.
- MCM config means you can tweak everything to your playstyle.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in January 2022—might have compatibility issues with newer Skyrim versions or other combat mods.
- Requires MCM, so you'll need SkyUI and SKSE64 installed.
For Skyrim players who want blocking to matter against magic and ranged attacks. If you're tired of spells ignoring your shield, this mod fixes that. Skip if you prefer simple combat overhauls or don't want to configure MCM settings.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have SKSE64 and SkyUI installed first—this mod's MCM won't work without them.
- After installing, open the MCM in-game to adjust block mitigation values and debuff effects to your liking.
- If you use other combat mods, check load order to avoid conflicts—place this mod after them.
