📋 About This Mod

Skyrim's default timescale is acceptable considering in-lore size of the province vs in-game size of the province but Skyrim's default weather transition speed feels too fast, so I drastically lowered it. From the Default 16 -> 1

Now, weather transition speed is much slower and smoother as a result. In real life its not too uncommon for weather to change abruptly but in Skyrim its every weather call.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 266 endorsements and over 23k downloads, so it's a proven fix for a common annoyance.
  • Does exactly what it says: no bloat, just smoother weather changes.
  • Lightweight and likely compatible with most setups since it only tweaks transition timing.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2022, so it may not be tested with the latest Skyrim patches or mods.
  • The effect is subtle—if you're expecting dramatic weather overhauls, this isn't it.
  • Potential conflicts with other mods that alter weather or time settings, so you'll need to check load order.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who notice the jarring snap between weather states and want a more natural, gradual shift. It's perfect for immersion-focused playthroughs where atmosphere matters. Skip if you're looking for new weather types or visual overhauls—this only tweaks transition timing.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Place this mod early in your load order, before other weather mods, to ensure its changes aren't overwritten.
  • If you use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, let it handle the file placement to avoid conflicts.
  • Test in-game by waiting for a weather change (e.g., using 'wait' or fast travel) to see the smoother transition.
