📋 About This Mod

Ti70VlOv5gA

At first, it was planned to update the Smooth Combat non Combat Animation mod in a major way, but as I made it,

I ended up using a different mechanism from the existing Smooth Combat non Combat Animation,

and since the characteristics of the two mods are different, I made it a separate mod.

Since Smooth MoveSet does not include attack animation, all users can use it.

The smooth moveset will be the basic base for my attack animation.

1. 8 update

Improved idle transition animation after moving in non-combat situations, and idle transition animation after equipping

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. 3 update

Unarmed equip, unequip

2hm idle, moveset

How the mod works

Non-Combat Situation (No Enemies)

Taking out a weapon even if there are no enemies is the concept of preparing for combat

- When drawing a weapon, Take a combat idle and immediately switch to a non-combat idle.

- Use the same movement animation as non-combat idle

- If idle is renewed due to movement after equipping, it works only as non-combat idle

To summarize, you can only see combat idle once after equip, and after that, you can only see non-combat idle.

Combat situation (there is an enemy)

- When equipping, it maintains combat idle for 5 seconds and then switches to non-combat idle.

- Use the same movement animation as combat idle

- Even if the idle is renewed due to movement after equipping, it maintains the combat idle for 5 seconds and then converts to non-combat idle

In addition to this,

animations have been created so that when moving from idle to moving and then transitioning from moving to idle, animations are made.

Supports XPMSE's weapon position setting.

// The cool animations don't suit Skyrim's npc's, so the smooth move set only applies to players and followers.

Highly endorsed with 7,869 endorsements and 2.8 million downloads.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community favorite with 7,869 endorsements and 2.8 million downloads—clearly a go-to for animation overhauls.
  • Improves the feel of movement and combat, making the game less stiff.
  • Lightweight and easy to install if you already use DAR.

⚠️ Cons

  • Requires Dynamic Animation Replacer (DAR) as a dependency—if you don't have it, you'll need to install it first.
  • Last updated in May 2023, so it may not be fully compatible with the latest Skyrim updates or the AE version.
  • Only changes the moveset; doesn't add new animations for specific weapons or magic, so you might want to pair it with other animation mods.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who want a more fluid and natural-looking character movement without overhauling the entire animation system. If you're tired of the vanilla stiff animations and want a simple, popular fix, this is for you. Skip if you're looking for comprehensive animation packs that cover every weapon type.
📦 Install:Medium· 5-10 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have Dynamic Animation Replacer installed and properly set up before adding this mod, as it won't work without it.
  • If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, let it handle the file placement to avoid overwriting other animation mods.
  • Check your load order to ensure Smooth Moveset loads after DAR and any other animation mods to prevent conflicts.
