Why does this mod exist?

Your followers will charge headfirst into a dragon's mouth.

They'll march through Dwemer ruins, vampire lairs, and literal planes of Oblivion without hesitation.

They'll bleed for you.

They'll die for you.

They'll patiently wait while you reload a save for the fifth time.

For the most part, they don't talk.

Not to you.

Not to each other.

Not even a casual "nice weather we're having while everything is on fire."

They just stand there...

staring, shrugging, occasionally locking into an intense, silent staring contest like it's a competitive sport.

And you're standing there, thinking loudly:

"For the love of Mara — say something to each other… anything."

Small Talk exists to fix that.

What does this mod do?

This mod adds a new dialogue branch to followers:

"Hello there..."

You can finally ask your trusted companions things like:

• []"What's on your mind?"[/]

  []"What do you think of the weather?"[/]

  []"What do you think of this place?"[/]

  []"Tell me about yourself."[/]

  []"Heard any rumors?"[/]

  Simple questions.

  Human questions.

  The kind of questions people who've survived near-death experiences together might actually ask.

  But it doesn't stop there...

  Followers now talk to each other.

  Vanilla-voiced followers will engage in lightweight, immersive scenes such as:

  • []Casual greetings and banter[/]

    []Comments when entering cities or towns[/]

    []Reactions after combat[/]

    []Tavern and shop chatter[/]

    []Friendly back-and-forth conversations[/]

    []Voice type specific personality interactions[/]

    No speeches.

    No exposition dumps.

    Just natural, situational dialogue that feels like it's always belonged in Skyrim.

    Different voice types carry distinct personalities, perspectives, humor, and emotional tones.

    Some followers are warm and thoughtful, Some are sarcastic, Some are blunt, practical, awkward, guarded, curious, or quietly reflective.

    The goal is not to turn followers into novels.
