SimpleIME is a SKSE plugin that unlocks full IME (Input Method Editor) support in Skyrim SE/AE. It intercepts the OS input pipeline and renders a custom composition and candidate window using ImGui, allowing you to type Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other multi-byte languages anywhere the game accepts text input.

The base game doesn't require IME. But if you use SkyUI or any mod built on the game's UI layer (inventory search, NPC search, crafting filters…), you will want to type in your own language.
