📋 About This Mod
Note 2: If someone would like to port this for PS4/PS5, they are welcome to do so, as it uses only vanilla assets. The only thing that won't be accessible is having Ondolemar as a follower unless there is a mod for PS4/PS5 that adds additional follower voice options (you'll still get the appearance changes for him). I don't play Skyrim on PC anymore, and I don't have a PS4/PS5, so I have no way to port it myself. If someone does port it, please let me know so I can add a link here. There is already a port for Xbox, so there's no need to port it again for that.
Description
NPC Makeovers for Faendal, Farkas, Vilkas, Marcurio, Aicantar (follower/marriage), and Ondolemar (follower). Only vanilla assets were used, but they will use the textures from whatever body mod, eye mod, etc., that you use.
I removed his wrinkles, cleaned him up, lightened his eye color, made a few minor facial tweaks, and gave him a different hairstyle and hair color. He is also now wearing hide armor (armor and boots) instead of farm clothes. I changed his mood from “disgusted” to “neutral,” altered his morality from “no crime” to “any crime,” set him as "protected," and gave him the "Light Foot" perk so he will not trigger any traps.
I removed the dirt and warpaint, smoothed out his complexion, made a few facial tweaks and proportion adjustments, darkened his hair a bit, and gave him a slightly different hairstyle. He is also now wearing Companion Wolf armor instead of steel, and I gave him the "Light Foot" perk.
I removed the dirt and warpaint, smoothed out his complexion, made a few facial tweaks and proportion adjustments, darkened his hair a bit, and gave him a nicely groomed beard and a different hairstyle. I also changed his mood from “disgusted” to “neutral” and gave him the "Light Foot" perk.
I gave him a more intense eye color, made a few facial tweaks, gave him a bit more facial hair, and changed his hairstyle. I also gave him the "Light Foot" perk.
He is now a follower and is able to be married. I lightened his hair color a bit, gave him a little facial hair, made a few facial tweaks, and changed his hairstyle. I also changed his default outfit to Adept Robes of Conjuration (“Conjuration spells cost 17% less to cast; Magicka regenerates 100% faster”).
Level multiplier changed from 0. 50 to 1. 00, calculated minimum level changed from 5 to 10, calculated maximum
This mod gives six male Skyrim NPCs—Faendal, Farkas, Vilkas, Marcurio, Aicantar, and Ondolemar—visual makeovers using only vanilla assets, so they'll match your body and eye mods. It also tweaks their stats and gear, like giving Faendal hide armor and Light Foot. Ondolemar can be a follower only if you have Relationship Dialogue Overhaul installed. With 485 endorsements and 8,254 downloads, it's a well-received cosmetic and minor gameplay mod for PC and Xbox.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 485 endorsements and over 8,000 downloads.
- Vanilla assets mean it'll blend with your existing mod setup without texture conflicts.
- Adds practical perks like Light Foot to keep followers from triggering traps.
⚠️ Cons
- Ondolemar's follower feature requires an extra mod (RDO), which might be a hassle if you don't already use it.
- Last updated in 2018, so it may not be fully tested with the latest Skyrim versions or other mods.
- Only affects six NPCs, so if you're looking for a broader overhaul, this is pretty niche.
For Skyrim players who want to make these specific male NPCs look better without overhauling the whole game. It's also great if you're on Xbox and want a lightweight makeover mod. Skip if you're expecting major gameplay changes or a full follower overhaul—this is mostly cosmetic with a few tweaks.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you want Ondolemar as a follower, make sure to install RDO and load it before this mod in your load order.
- Since it uses vanilla assets, your body and eye mods will affect the look—test with your current setup to see if you like the result.
- On Xbox, you can download it directly from the in-game mod browser; on PC, use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 for easy installation.
