Simple Casual Spell Tome Crafting

Was looking for a way to make my character less dependent on visiting Farengar every single time I decide that I need to learn a new spell for the upcoming trip. Even though it probably won't completely replace all spell merchants, you can still get by pretty well without them for quite a while with this mod.

When creating this mod I was thinking about a concept of a mage outlaw who doesn't visit Could District cities often, who sits there in the wilderness, runs around, scavenges soul gems, traps souls and forges spells in a private distant cave somewhere. Also I wanted to scratch the itch for the lack of spell crafting in the game, which we could do in Morrowind.

Since the update 0. 3, it's now a Lesser Power you can use anywhere. Look for spell merchants selling "

This mod has nothing in common with "Spell Crafting" mods, since those mods require for the player to learn the spell effect from somewhere, and this is actually where my mod comes in handy, since it provides a new way to learn those effects. This mod is actually kinda more similar to Spell Research, but much more basic, since I wanted to have more control over which spells I get.

Can craft almost all base game(also patches are available) spell tomes using a lesser power.

To gain ability to craft spell tomes, visit any Spell Merchant and they should be selling "Manual of Spell Tome Creation".

Initially only Apprentice and lower tier spell tomes are available, to unlock higher tier spells you gotta have sufficient skill level of the related school of magic. Some spells are still locked behind vanilla game ritual quests, you'll only be able to craft those after completing the quests.

In the same crafting menu, you can recycle burned/ruined books into rolls of paper.

The recipe for spell tomes I wanted to keep simple, we don't wanna overly complicate things, to craft a spell tome you just need a filled soul gem and a single roll of paper, here's the example:

Roll of Paper + Filled Petty Soul Gem - Any Novice tier spell.

Roll of Paper + Filled Lesser Soul Gem - Any Apprentice tier spell.

Roll of Paper + Filled Common Soul Gem - Any Adept tier spell, starting with level 30 skill of the respective school of magic.
