📋 About This Mod
Uncle Sheo, being the unpredictable rascal that he is, has taken a liking to you. Despite your unfortunate intrusion on his decade old tea party, you've left an impression on him. So he decided on a whim to give you a late Saturalia present in addition to the Wabbajack - an interesting book he's been reading in his spare time. It's a spell tome that teaches you a spell... that paralyzes... YOU!
How to get it?
You can find the spell tome sitting next to ol' Sheo's throne during the quest "The Mind of Madness".
What if I already did the quest, you might ask? Fear not, for Uncle Sheo has your back. If you forget to pick it up, it will be given to you after you finish the quest and get teleported back to the Pelagius Wing of the Blue Palace. If you did the quest long ago, all you need to do is to enter the wing again and you will receive your present.
Be aware that you can only get one copy of the book. Uncle Sheo will not be happy if you lose or sell it. Be responsible, or no more gifts!
Download the archive and install with your favorite mod manager.
As with most mods, uninstallation after the mod is introduced to your game after loading your save is not advised. If you have to uninstall before getting the spell, open the console and type "stopquest selfparalysisquest" without the brackets. Then make a new manual save, uninstall, load the game and save again. Clean the newest save with ReSaver if you have to.
The steps to uninstall after getting the spell are the same, just without having to use the console command; the quest gets automatically shut down after you obtain it.
Compatibility and Load order
This mod is designed to be as light weight and compatible as possible. There are no vanilla edits (except for placing the tome next to Sheogorath's throne) and script load is minuscule. The plugin is also ESP-FE, so it won't take a spot in your load order and it was manually cleaned with xEdit. Place it wherever you want in the load order and profit.

Adds a single self-paralyzing spell to Skyrim, letting you freeze your character on command. A niche joke mod for players who want to goof off or skip cutscenes without Netch Jelly. Lightweight ESP-FE plugin with modest community support.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective for its purpose—cast it and you're frozen.
- Lightweight ESP-FE plugin won't bloat your load order.
- Fun for roleplay or trolling yourself during serious moments.
⚠️ Cons
- Very niche—only useful if you specifically want self-paralysis.
- No MCM or customization; you get one spell and that's it.
- Potential compatibility risk with mods that alter paralysis mechanics or spell lists.
For Skyrim players who want a silly utility spell to freeze themselves on demand, whether for screenshots, roleplay, or just to mess around. Skip if you're looking for serious gameplay additions—this is pure novelty.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's an ESP-FE, you can safely place it anywhere in your load order, but keep it after major overhauls to avoid conflicts.
- Test the spell in a safe area first—paralysis can be annoying if you're mid-combat.
- Use it to pause cutscenes for screenshots or to get a good laugh during dramatic moments.
