Overview

There are a few voice-control mods for Skyrim, but they are overcomplicated, have third-party dependencies and can be tricky to set up. They rely on Windows Speech Recognition (WSR). WSR is old, being scrapped out in new Windows updates, which lead to setup issues or just not work with some languages.

Say It - Dragonborn Voice Control uses modern, lightweight speech recognition solutions like vosk and faster-whisper, which offering speed, accuracy and should work with all available Skyrim languages. It's easy to install, easy to configure.

Installing

The mod has two parts: the plugin and the DVCRuntime — local server which communicates with the plugin and handles speech recognition and related processing.

Both must be installed for it to work:

  []Before start game, open DVCRuntime.ini and uncomment OpenPhrases | ClosePhrases for your language if you plan to use them. There are presets for english and russian.[/]

Quick Start

Along with the game, a server is started, you should see a DVCRuntime console window with the server logs. The first launch may take some time, the console may be empty, and then the language models will load. When DVCRuntime console shows: Client Ready all preparations are complete.
