Inspired by Schlitzohr's Lainalten and The Elder Scrolls: Arena, this gives some context and background into why there are ruined houses next to Ryn's Robber's Gorge
In The Elder Scrolls Arena, Lainalten is a town west of Whiterun, east of Karthwasten, north of Falkreath and south of Dragon's Bridge. This would place it roughly where it is depicted in both Schlitzohr's Lainalten mod as well as the ruins in Ryn's Robber's Gorge.
This mod just adds a map marker and journal with a story of Lainalten's demise at this location. If you want NPCs, radiant quests and other goodies at this location, I recommend adding Schlitzohr's Lainalten instead and get the Ryn's Robber's Gorge combo patch.
TECHNICALLY this mod doesn't Require Ryn's Robber's Gorge but the journal will just be floating in air otherwise and you'll have a map marker leading to nothing.
