It is possible to remove(not just making them transparent) the mountain clouds with a ini setting. Set this line fSkyCellRefFadeDistance=0. 0000 under the section of skyrimprefs.ini - This setting should be redundant after update 1. 2

Update 1. 1: Some textures unnecessarily kept the original aspect ratio like 4x8. They are now all 4x4. No performance improvement. Simply makes more sense. :)
